Chargé d’Affaires at the Swiss Legation in Budapest, was recognized as Righteous Among the Nations on July 15, 1999, for his rescue efforts for the Jews of Budapest. Feller helped repatriate several Swiss Jewish women who had lost their citizenship because of their marriage to Hungarians. He hid Jews in his residence and arranged safe places for others. In December 1944, he was detained and tortured by the Arrow Cross Fascist regime, and after the liberation of Budapest he was arrested by the Soviets and held for a year before finally being allowed to return to Switzerland.
